Friday – Celebrating the Past with Cecil Mason
We will “Celebrate the Past” with an opening presentation by our very own Cecil Mason, who will lead us through a historical look back at the last 50-plus years in the banking industry.
Over the course of 35 years in the banking business in Amarillo, Cecil held every position in a bank -- advancing from the mail room to President. He joined McCoy Myers in April 1997 as Special Projects Coordinator. Throughout those 48 years Cecil witnessed unbelievable changes in technology from hand sorting checks to imaging them, from manual posting to real-time point-of-sale, ATM and internet.
At McCoy Myers, Cecil spends most of his time in the Education Division developing classes and teaching. Cecil married Judith in 1963, and has two children and five grandchildren, all living in Amarillo.
Saturday - Creating the Future with David Culbertson
Following a bountiful breakfast for all of our attendees, we will start Saturday morning with an opening presentation by CSI’s David Culbertson. As we shift our focus toward the second half of this year’s theme, “Creating the Future,” David will help us take a forward look at the banking and technology arena as he sheds some light on what may lie just over the horizon, as banks strive to position themselves to claim market share and increase earnings.
David has held various positions in his 20-plus year career at Computer Services, Inc., (CSI). In 1999, he was elected as a Vice President by the CSI Board of Directors and given the challenge of developing the company’s Internet-based initiatives. In 2005, he was named VP of Research and Business Development and he now serves as the Vice President of Affiliate Services. In David’s current role, he works with all of CSI’s Affiliate companies to help ensure that corporate objectives are met, talent is leveraged, and products and solutions can be delivered through CSI’s various channels.
A regular speaker at banking conferences nationwide, David’s technical knowledge and insight into current banking trends have helped many banks shape their visions for the future.
David has a degree in Computer Science from the University of Virginia and holds several industry certifications.
