One of the hottest topics to the examining forces seems to be emergency preparedness and off-site agreements. Most banks have some sort of agreement with another bank to run off-site. They also have an agreement with McCoy Myers to use our computer facilities in Amarillo, Fort Worth (Hurst), Waco, or Midland. The "hot site" gives a better long-range plan. Bank-to-bank agreements tend to be better suited as a short-term solution--your computer is down for a day, and you want to go off-site to run a day's worth of updates.
With the McM data center sites, we offer users a good solution for those times when they might need an alternative site for more than just a day. We have the space in the data centers to offer any bank a place to set up shop for as long as needed in case of a disaster. We also offer your bank an item processing solution. We will keep a copy of your bank's proof program at the center, so all you have to do is load it and run. Another advantage of this option is our commitment to having someone available to help you get up and operational. We have a phone system, off-site storage, check storage files, access to Fedline, and an interface to ATM processors. We're confident that we can offer your bank everything you must have to run the operations part of your institution on a daily basis. In addition, you will be able to come to our center and test off-site annually.
