In August (1996), we will celebrate our second anniversary of converting to McCoy Myers and Associates' system. And a celebration it is, as going to McCoy Myers from a service bureau was truly a brilliant decision on our part.
We approached our conversion with a great deal of apprehension, it was such a major step. Everything ran very smoothly, just like you said it would. On Friday, we finished our work on the service bureau system we had been on for 20+ years. Monday, we opened the doors running on our new in-house system. Thanks to your outstanding personnel, we never had a problem. Our bank was in balance and within days our own bank people were running the system with no problems. Conversion was a non-event.
Cost was a main consideration when we decided to go in-house, and yes it still is important but our increased capabilities are something we couldn't do without now. Reporter is easy to use and can tell you almost everything you want to know, any way you want it.
At conversion, we changed applications necessary to open the bank the next day. Since then, we have added safe deposit accounting, payroll, shareholders and user G.L. All of which, the cost was included in my initial conversion, and we are happy with the applications.
Another reason we picked McCoy Myers was that all user banks run the same version of the software, we would not have to do another conversion to upgrade the software. New versions come out and each individual bank may use what they want or elect not to use any by the way their individual bank sets the switches. And should I need to customize a program your staff again fills the bill by making my requested programming changes at a fair cost.
Your personnel has never misled us on any of the software capabilities when making the sale and they continue to support us whenever we have a question. In closing, we are a very satisfied customer. We would be glad to talk with any bank thinking of changing to McCoy Myers as well as show them our operations.
