Meridian Feature: Notepad
The notepad system allows users, (who have been given access to Notepads) to record various notes they feel are relevant to the customer's account(s). Each bank may have different ideas for the usage of notepad. (i.e. Loan Notes, Discussions concerning overdrafts, Who has been authorized to sign on an account, etc.)
Notepads for each Customer Number are stored in the system by date and user initials. The user's initials are derived from the Access Code. Each notepad allows 7 pages of notes with 14 lines per page. There may be total of 5415 notes per customer--285 pages of 19 notes. The same user cannot create more than one notepad for a customer in any given day; however, the user can append additional notes to that day's notepad. If a different user inputs notes on the same day for the same customer, that user will create a separate notepad for the customer, provided the user's initials are different. Entering notes for the same customer on different days will result in new Notepads for each day.
Access to Notepads is granted by Access Code. There are three options per user:
0). An Access Code may not have access to Notepad.
1). An Access Code can have access to View Notepads only.
2). An Access Code can be given access to create and view Notepads.
Notes may be marked for printing as they are built or individually as needed through Inquiry.
