Meridian allows you to backdate general ledger transactions as far back as January of the previous year.
This function allows your bank to close out December 31's general ledger and yet still enter taxes or other adjustments as of December 31st. New end-of-year reports will be generated, and the system will be adjusted to reflect the changes.
This function can also be used after end of quarter if your call report was incorrect, for example. You may make adjustments by making backdated general ledger entries. A new G/L Daily Statement will be generated to allow you to correct your call report.
